Since I started my business 2 Dream Productions I have learned a lot of lessons along the way. One lesson that has proven to be worth mentioning is ET. And that is not as in phone home. Although if we fail to use the ET method in our businesses it can certainly make us want to phone someone.And for sure make us want to point our fingers!
When inviting someone to work with you in your company or on a project it is very important to make sure you Explain and Train.
When we look up the word ‘Explain’ here is how it is defined: Make (an idea, situation, or problem) clear to someone by describing it in more detail or revealing relevant facts or ideas.
When we look up the word ‘Train’ it is defined as : To teach (a person or animal) a particular skill or type of behavior through practice and instruction over a period of time.
So we EXPLAIN the things we want and need others to do and we TRAIN them how to do the things they do not know how to do. When we follow those two basic steps we are setting everyone up for success!
